| The 2005 Team Associated Cup - Round 1 was held on July 24, 2005 at the new "RCworld" track in Ansan, Kyungki-Do. The track was made using special, high-traction asphalt blocks. There were 3 classes at this event: 1/10 Open, 1/10 Associated Stock, and 1/12 On Road. |

| XRAY drivers including 'Ryan' and many of top class drivers joined '1/10 Open' class. According to Ryan, he could improve grip performance of his car with the new 2mm thin chassis. Every driver had difficult time, since they track had the highest temperature during the year. It was 97°F in pit area, and 158°F on road surface! |

| Ryan had a very good race at â Team Associated Cup - Round 1.â™ On the first preliminary match, even though he was 0.5 sec per lap faster than other drivers, he was forced to retire due to the temp protector of his ESC moved twice. However, on the second and third preliminary match, Ryan showed amazing driving and no-one could stop him. He achieved the coveted TQ position, one lap faster than anyone else. In the final round, Ryan proved how much faster his XRAY was than any others by finishing with a 2 lap advantage over 2nd place. |

Even though most other cars lost traction and other problems, his FK05 maintained the same performance in every round. Using the new 2mm chassis made his car much easier drive than with the 2.5mm chassis according to Ryan.
